Setlowe credits the creative work of web designer Lisbet Thoresen for the award. "I have five novels, each of which has at least three different American editions, plus editions in a dozen languages. Designer Thoresen also reproduced the key reviews and interviews for each novel with the original newspaper and magazine typeface and logos to visually communicate their journalistic credibility.

One of the unique features of RichardSetlowe.com is a series of WRITING LESSONS based on Setlowe's years of teaching in the UCLA Extension Writers' Program. The illustrated on-line "lecture notes" key to excerpts of his novels to dramatize particular points.
